Call for Papers

The 29th Opto-Electronics and Communications Conference 2024 (OECC2024) taking place in Melbourne 30 June - 4 July 2024, will be an exciting 5-day celebration of research advancements, innovative solutions, and technological breakthroughs.

The OECC24 Technical Program Committee (TPC) is now soliciting submission of contributed papers to be considered for inclusion in the technical program as an Oral Presentation or a Poster Presentation. Contributed papers should contain original and previously unpublished advancements, innovations, or breakthroughs and should be written in clear and concise English following IEEE Xplore Ready Formats. The TPC will organise a peer review program to ensure that all contributed papers are carefully reviewed against the criteria of technical quality, relevance, originality, significance, and clarity.

The conference proceedings containing invited and contributed papers will be submitted to the IEEE Xplore Digital Library, following the successful conclusion of the conference and presentation of the accepted papers at the conference is necessary to ensure the papers being admitted into the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.

Please find the full paper template here.

Please note all submissions must have a limit of 3 pages.

The deadline to submit your abstract is: 08:00 (AEDT) Monday 4 March 2024.

Scope of the Conference:

OECC2024 will feature plenaries from eminent experts, invited speakers, contributed presentations, special symposia and exhibition to demonstrate breakthroughs and innovations poised to transform the future of opto-electronics and optical communications industry and sectors that rely on this industry.
