Message from the Chairs

Melbourne is thrilled to be hosting the 29th Opto-Electronics and Communications Conference 2024 (OECC2024) during June 30-July 4, 2024, at the world-famous Melbourne Conference and Exhibition Centre. This is an amazing opportunity to visit one of the most liveable cities Melbourne after a successful hosting back in 2014. OECC 2024 will be an exciting 5-day celebration of research advancements, innovative solutions, and technological breakthroughs. OECC2024 will present plenaries from eminent experts, invited speakers, contributed presentations, special symposia and exhibition to demonstrate breakthroughs and innovations poised to transform the future of opto-electronics and optical communications industry and sectors that rely on this industry. This year we are even more excited to announce the introduction of a new track, the “Quantum Sensing, Communications and Computing” track recognising the recent attention on these emerging technologies, and we look forward to extending the warm OECC2024 experience to a new group of attendees.

We are extending our cordial invitation to our regular attendees of OECC and equally all new attendees from around the world. As an event of global visibility and reach, OECC2024 is an unmissable opportunity for you to re-engage with the community and strengthen existing relationships whilst creating and building new ones. We welcome you to be an invaluable part of OECC2024 both as community members but also as presenters, exhibitors and attendees, an important source of dialog and impact for our industry and sectors.

We are working hard to bring you a rewarding technical program and an excellent venue for showcasing leading research and innovations, while promoting professional networking. Many exciting social programs are in planning, so stay tuned!
